Thanks for the great responses. We do have two laptops at the front out our store, one mac and one PC, which has all of the design programs you could ever need. Typically, people do not sit down in our storefront for many hours designing, mostly because they need to be used by other customers, but I suppose you could if you wanted to. People tend to use these laptops for emailing us files and quick fixes to their designs.

If any designer (or non-designer) would like to have access to a computer with design programs, there are many mac labs in the fine art building. I believe they are only open during the semester and for select hours, but the schedule is usually posted outside of the labs.
